I have been wanting to BLOG but have had no time or energy, you understand don't you?
Today Caylee has her two week check-up. This was my first outing with both my girls, by myself! Thankfully the doctor's office is only 5 minutes away. Everyone did great & we are all back home. Anyway, I was anxious to hear if Caylee was back to her birth weight (7lb 4oz). With nursing you never know for sure how much they are getting & it seems I just take all the responsability on myself...OK so I'm happy & thankful to report our little Caylee is now 8lbs! She has grown almost a full inch as well. The doctor says she looks great & is impressed with the weight gain. The only thing we need to take care of is her Thrush, yup, she's got it. We have medicine for both her & I. Prayerfully it will all clear up in ten days or less.
Cami is doing great, she is really starting to love being the big sister. She really loves to touch Caylee & give her lots of kisses. When Caylee starts to fuss Cami says "shhh Caylee, shhh".
Daddy is busy getting lots of stuff done around the house during his Easter Break & gives me breaks for naps & showers in between projects. I'm gonna miss that when he goes back to school on Monday.
Mommy is healing & doing pretty good. I think it's a given that I'm tired. Caylee likes to eat every two hours so I get sleep about an hour at a time during the night. I know this is only for a season & I always pray that the Lord gives me the strength & patience (yes, I really do pray for patience, everyday) to make it through each feeding.
Here is a pic of our family from Easter Sunday:
