A good friend of mine posted this on her BLOG & I thought it important to share with you too.
We are constantly reminded of the worlds efforts to take Christ out of Christmas. The Christmas season gives us the opportunity to remind those around us why Jesus is better than Santa Claus:
Santa lives at the North Pole...Jesus is everywhere!
Santa comes but once a year...Jesus is always with us - an everpresent help!
Santa fills your stockings with goodies...Jesus supplies all our needs!
Santa lets you sit on his lap...Jesus invites you to rest in his arms!
Santa says, "You better not cry"...Jesus says, "Cast all your cares on me because I care for you"!
While Santa puts gifts under your tree...Jesus became our gift and died on the tree!
There is really no comparison at all, is there? Jesus is still the reason for the season. Let our response to God's great gift be as the angels who "praised God saying, 'Glory to God in the highest!' "
